Championship clubs propose £20 million salary cap

PA Images | Executives from the league's 24 clubs met to discuss the EFL's Profitability and Sustainability (P&S) rules, commonly referred to as Financial Fair Play (FFP), but failed to reach an agreement on a potential reform of the system.

The proposal was made at a recent meeting to discuss the EFL's Profitability and Sustainability rules, according to the Telegraph.

While some clubs want the cap to be higher, a limit on squad numbers was also proposed.
