UEFA will lift its threatened boycott of FIFA tournaments after receiving assurances that plans to sell stakes in the World Cup and other competitions will not be revived, according to The Times.

The 55 European associations had agreed to boycott FIFA competitions following the disclosure of president Gianni Infantino’s proposal. FIFA withdrew the plan at the end of July, meeting the first of two conditions set by UEFA.
